FLEXIBLE CONFIGURATIONS

DUAL STATION

  • A floating jaw carrier system and a middle jaw provides dual station functionality and compensates for different sized workpiecs
  • A spring-loaded braking system provides "third-hand" functionality, forcing the front jaw to close first and the rear jaw to close second
  • The middle jaw can positioned off-center to allow greater capacity in the front station

SINGLE STATION

  • By removing the center jaw and securing a sliding jaw into a fixed position using a locating pins and a setscrew, the vise is configured for single station operation

Side Mounting

  • Optional ground sides avialable for side mounting
  • Side mounting also possible (and recommended) with right angle ball coupler fixtures

USAGE EXAMPLES

Machinable Jaws

  • Machinable jaws are used in lieu of master jaws and jaw plates
  • Allows for the largest machinable volume to securely grip odd-shaped parts

Machinable Jaws + Side Clearance

  • Machinable jaws are used in lieu of master jaws and jaw plates
  • The sides of the jaws can be machined away for tool clearance to fully machine three sides of each workpiece

XL Machinable Jaws

  • Extra large machinable jaws are used in lieu of master jaws and jaw plates
  • Jaws can be rotated 180 degrees to hold different parts on opposite sides
  • Jaws can be used as miniature fixture plates for high density workholding

Machinable center and jaw plates

  • A machinable center jaw is used in lieu of a master center jaw with jaw plates
  • Master sliding jaws are used with machinable jaw plates
  • Better economy is achieved compared using machinable sliding jaws when applicable

XL Sliding Jaws - Single Station

  • XL machinable jaws are used in lieu of master sliding jaws and jaw plates
  • Massive machinable volume for securlely gripping large workpieces with marring or distortion
  • Center jaw is removed

Vise Pallet

  • A monolithic pallet is used in lieu of all jaws
  • Locates to the vise body using precision pins and is secured with the existing jaw carrier slides
  • Eliminates bolt holes for simplified fixture machinable

Standard mounting with edge clamps

  • Simplest mounting configuration
  • Six (6) edge clamps ship with every vise as standard equipment

Multiple Vises with edge clamps

  • Higher density can be achieved by using custom clamps in between vises

Compact subplate

  • Counterbores custom machined to fit different T-slot tables
  • Plates can also be machined to accept edge clamps for table mounting
